Bread Stand

I created this scene in Houdini Engine then imported it into Unreal Engine 4 for rendering. This was a great experiment with rigid body systems in Houdini and for me to use Substance Painter more, as for everything in the bread stand I textured in Substance Painter. I also was able to test the differences of the Houdini renderer vs the Unreal renderer with real-time raytracing, and in this project, I greatly preferred the unreal renderer. Not only was it much faster (my render in Houdini, which was fairly ugly so I'm not posting it, took almost 5 hours while my renders in unreal took up to 1 minute) I was able to get more control of my lighting being able to view it in real-time and being able to edit it with more control than I had over the Houdini renderer. Overall this project was a lot of fun and I'm very proud of how each piece of food came out and how much I was able to get done in 2 weeks quality-wise. If you would like to read more about my process in Houdini and the specs of the scene, you can read the PDF below.
